timmo
I was looking at reviews of a Mayones Jabba 5, and one of the criticisms was it had no bottom or top end. It all sounded nice to my untrained ears. What does it actually mean please?
neepheid
It means you liked it, and that's all that matters.
Conan
It lacks fullness in the bass and treble parts of the frequency spectrum? If that were the case (which I find hard to believe) then it would have a horrible, nasal, middly tone and be rather limited in usage. I have heard one (well, the four string version anyway) being used by Mariusz Duda of Polish Prog band Riverside - and I certainly wouldn't say that it lacked bass or treble!!
To be honest, anyone that can play a nice bass well I like. As I had no idea what it really meant, I will look at some youtube clips of different basses to compare, and see if I can tell any difference. Thanks for the replies. timmo
This is the clip where it sounds nice to me, but there is a discussion about the top and bottom which loses me. I`m tempted to buy one Edited August 28, 2013 by timmo
