MacDaddy
Just wondering if using speaker cables rather than guitar leads would make a difference in connection my fx unit to the amp? It's a Johnson J Station to either an amp head or a power amp. Ta.

It needs to be a shielded instrument cable or you will get LOTS of noise. General info: Never use instrument cables as speaker cables either, they can't handle the power and make your ohmage calculations go tits-up and out the window with possibly dangerous consequences. MacDaddy
It's still a bit confusing. I would have thought whatever output the bass is putting out, would be far less than what the fx unit which is powered by electric puts out. Happy Jack
It's not about output levels, Si, it's about shielding.
