molan Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 (edited) So my new Lakland came fitted with a funky sparkly black bowling ball style pickguard. However it also came with the original minty green. I've been sitting staring at it with the green pickguard fitted over the top of the black one & it also looks nice! So which would you go for? Bear in mind that the green guard isn't sitting flush with the body so might not look quite perfect. Basic body colour is a dark green metallic, not sure how well this shows up in the pics but hopefully you'll get an idea. I've tried to add a poll to see which wins the 'discerning' BC vote Edited June 14, 2008 by molan Quote
Guest MoJo Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Looked long and hard, viewed 'em side by side and went for the black pearl. Quote

Hamster Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 The mint or black pearl don't really float my boat on this one, however............. Snakeskin? or Yellow Cream Pearl? or Cream Pearl? or Aged Pearl? You can buy the sheets and trim to shape Hamster Quote

Dubs Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 ive got be honest and say that the "mint green" one just looks like plain white to me, how about anyone else? I've no doubt it's just the pic though Quote

Having said that I do have a Strat in surf green, which is pretty close. Edited June 16, 2008 by aceuggy Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I've never liked black pearl, so out of the two it has to be mint green, however I think cream or aged white pearl would look even better. Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Hi Molan, the black pearl looks class to me! Quote
