Frosty
Hi all, decided to start learning bass a couple of weeks ago after wanting to give it a try for 30 odd years but never getting around to it. Now I have one I can't put it down and I am driving my other half so mad she is threatening to buy a banjo! Thanks to Tony HH for selling me his old bass and setting me on the straight and narrow. :-)

Fionn
Cool. I hope she buys a banjo ... great jamming potential. Before you know it you'll be doing this ... BassTractor
Hey Frosty, Welcome! Here's what you do. Preemptively strike by proactively buying her ... not a banjo, but a ukulele (or howzat spelt). Not just any ukulele, but a Kala U-Bass or similar. However, do not tell her it's a U-Bass. To her, it's just a ukulele, you hear? That is all. You'll thank me later. BTW, I too was bass virgin at 55. You'll be OK. Enjoy! best, bert Edited September 2, 2013 by BassTractor
Len_derby
Welcome Frosty. Enjoy the journey. Persuade her to go for drums. Much more useful. Len (bass and banjoist)

Love the link Fionn, the other half is a big Bella Fleck fan, so maybe if we both keep practicing..........
