jdelprior
Hello all! I'm a guitar player but I have a bass amp related question. Our band's bass amp, a Behringer BXD3000, has been cutting out for a second at high volumes. My bass player says it happens when he's doing any type of slapping and/or popping of the strings. Is this the onboard limiter kicking in? Is that even what a limiter does? Would using the amp's compressor help with this? I know Behringer is thought of as less than ideal but we all like the amp other than this issue. Thanks fellas I appreciate ya'll holding down the low end! MoonBassAlpha
I think you are on the right lines here, may be some protection cutting in. Using the compressor to knock the peaks off may well be the answer. I've got a little Spirit powered mixer that does just this if it gets overloaded.
