Graham Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 It's mine! Should be here on Monday, which I've cunningly arranged to have off work. Quote
Dingus Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 These are very naughty -sounding basses . G&L are always excellent quality , too . Quote
Graham Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 And it's now here, light body, comfortable neck and those pickups, there's just so much power there. Now I've had it back from my local guitar shop who've done a full re-string, set-up and sorted some issues it had when it arrived it's great, very even tone across all the strings and a very clear sound that doesn't give anywhere to hide poor playing, but doesn't lack bottom end. "Punch" is really the adjective that springs to mind witht this instrument, I've been playing Rage Against The Machine, Jamiroquai, Incognito and Black Sabbath with it and it's handled it all very well. Crappy phone picture, you can't see the finish properly which is like a sort of mottled, metalic blue Made in 1995 it's by far the oldest instrument I've owned, and in remarkable condition for a nearly 20 year old bass.
