dalehernando
I'm normally very much a black or white bass man but I love the new 50th anniversary thunderbird! http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Bass/Gibson-USA/50th-Anniversary-Thunderbird-Bass.aspx I'm going through a bit of a 'loving thunderbirds' stage at the moment! discreet
At last! The Auric Goldfinger sig is here! I love Thunderbirds, too. Especially Tin-Tin Kyrano, she's hot. For a puppet. Seriously though, nice bass. Edited September 7, 2013 by discreet
tommorichards
do they ever do models with chrome covers? Im sure even if it was the same pickup, they'd sell a few more.

incubass
If they would release a chrome pickup version, I wouldn't resist for sure. I'm waiting for that for quite some time... Beautiful bass!!
cocco
It's nice, but don't forget it's only the finish that's any different to the normal T-bird. I reckon a 50th anniversary reissue model would have sold more and been better, in every possible way.
KiOgon
- "multi-ply mahogany tone wood" - I remember Gibson got into trouble for buying & using protected species of rare & valuable exotic timbers - but now 'plywood'?
Muzz
50 years and that bridge is still the best solution they can think of?
Norris
That's crying out for gold plated pups & scratch plate to match the bridge & tuners
Samashton12
I just need the gold hardware
cocco
It's a good looking bass, but I can't get around the £400 more it costs than the standard, what do you get apart from gold paint and gold hardware? For me the Pelham blue reverse body one is the best looking of the current crop, and the cheapest, and from what I can gather there is no difference in construction. Looks like a cash grab to me. White Cloud
Love T birds....but cannot help but feel that this is an opportunity missed. Looks nice - however could have been outstanding!
