essexbasscat
Hi all I've recently set up a guitar using a fret levelling beam and was quite pleased with the results. After setting the bridge to match the radius of the frets, the guitar immediately feel much more expensive than the cheap thing it is. Now I'm looking at creating the slight downward 'ramp' from around the 12th fret to allow the strings to drop that little bit lower. The radius block has finally arrived to do the job, but now I'm thinking "which sandpaper to use " ? Do people use sandpaper with adhesive backing ? which grades for frets and / or the fretboard ? Where would you get said sandpaper ? I've also heard around here that using a wooden block for working on frets isn't a good idea. Any ideas why ? if that's the case, what else would you use ? THanks everyone, enjoy the weekend All the best EBC
