No but I've played the bass twice and it sounds great. Saw Steve Harris playing last week and the bass looks awesome dispite the WH logo.

Fair enough. I could never have something with another team's logo on it. Always wondered if anyone but WH fans would buy that bass

I'm obsessed with the idea of a fairly bashed-about Capri Orange P-Bass, almost to the point of creating one from bits or from an older Japanese copy. Does anyone else get that kind of random but really specific obsession going on?

A sunburst Roadworn Jazz :gas:

Unfortunately I'm only in a position to trade at the moment and the last couple that have come up have been sale only / non-receptive to my offer. sigh.......

If i didn't have one this would be top of my wish list. I love mine, it really does feel old (I have had early 60's Fenders so can compare). Good luck with the hunt.

I'm now gassing for a 90's 'ray and a Modulus Flea

It'll be something else next week though

He's only gone and done it!

P-bass GAS.

It started off as a mild interest in making a bitsa P, then maybe getting a nicer Squire & upgrading it, but why not get an American Standard as they're so heavily discounted at the minute, low what's that - a custom shop you say, ME GUSTA!

Still GAS-ing for a 4003 or 4004, but seriously considering a custom jobbie too.

Can't afford any of them, but I can dream.

Seeing that you're a fellow Scot I find that disgusting :P

Spotted an eye-wateringly pretty Michael Kelly 5-string acoustic in the window of Johnny Roadhouse yesterday. It plays pretty well too. I can part-ex my perfectly adequate, but unexciting Vintage 4, so it doesn't really count, does it? :-)

And then there's this:

As luck would have it I'll be near there anyway this Weds - which just happens to be my birthday - and Mr Josie has said he'll pay for anything I want, within reason - so unless it turns out to be a real dog when I get hold of it, that's sorted :-)

MInd you, he doesn't understand owning seven bass guitars as being "within reason", so quite what he'll think of a eighth will be "interesting"... but not my problem.

Just a reminder...

My 'faker is almost done, my fretless P is done (apart from logo), my Partscaster is there or thereabouts.

Next, I want to restore another 'faker.

Then I want to restore a real Ricky, or maybe get a custom build soundalike.

I'd also like to build a Tele.

Apart from that, no plans... ...except, (sigh).
