Musser 645 Orchestra Bells - Classic 2.5 octave steel bars
£300

Genuine Musser 645 Orchestra Bells
Serial V445

I bought these on a whim from ebay ages ago - ex-military bells. They were in pretty beaten up condition.
I have refurbished them up to the point of playability - cleaned the keys up, replaced the bent screws and pins. As you can see the plating is worn on some of the keys and the case has bits of vinyl missing.

I had a proper Bells player come over to give them a once over and he said they are very good but could benefit from a little bit of further tweaking re. the pins and rubbers so all bars ring true.

These things cost a fortune new - about £900 I believe - so maybe they could make a very good practice set for someone on a percussion degree, or maybe your band needs a bit of high end tinkle!

They weigh a tonne, and I'd prefer the buyer to try before buying, so collection is preferred (Kingston, Surrey).

(note - they have a case and lid with carry handle, but stand is not included)
