Chiliwailer
If you're looking for a bass with bite, a bass that can make the ladies melt and a bass that is literally bitchin'...... Dad3353
...What really IS the best bass for metal? Eh? Eh?...
A difficult one to answer; as we all have different views and tastes. Here's my take on base metals, ymmv... One could make a cast iron case for some of these. There are expensive ones for those with enough brass, but if you can cop a cheap one, it's a steal, and you can bronze in the sun with the money left over. I'm afraid I didn't understand the rest of your post. Basschat rules..? Yes, indeed, we all know that, but if it makes you happy, I'll concur. Basschat rules, OK..? There, is that better..? Paul S
I am sure there must be a joke in there somewhere about bass, metal, gold, alchemy, but the correct combination of words is eluding me. Can someone put me out of my misery?
MarkG3
Surely it would be a bass with one string, one fret and then you wouldn't even need to bother with an amp either. Not meant to upset any metal lovers out there

megallica
I watched some footage from Download 2013 on tv and was pleasantly surprised at how many Warwicks were being used. The Warwick midrange sound cuts through the distorted guitar crunch very well.
