Has anyone seen/played/owned one of these basses?

Looks like they buy some of their bits from allparts and rework them to your spec...

The website is ok, their Facebook page is a real day by day temptation though!

Being dutch the Peterbuilt basses come up for sale on the Dutch bass forum, http://www.basgitaarforum.nl/index.php
And the pound is doing well against the Euro, meaning bargains allround.
I quite like this,

Yeah, that burgundy mist is gorgeous!

Just really good looking gear!

At the Dutch bass guitar forum, Peter is very highly regarded for the quality of his work.
That's all I know.
Oh, and I know that the brand name is a stellar Daft Pun. :D

I've had GAS for one for a while. I follow on FB. Fancy a 68 Tele Bass with covers and tugbar either in burgundy mist or, having seen an original on here, paisley wallpaper :-) how much do you think...about a grand? I'm awaiting a response from Peter.

CamdenRob has one on order I think. He'd probably be able to help you.

I do indeed.. Just replied to a PM from Mr Fretbuzz with all the details, in short I'm very happy with how the build is progressing. Peter is great on the comms and sends regular updates.

Mine is due in a couple of months and I can't wait :)

Yummy :-) just had a very quick detailed reply from Peter. About 1500 euro for a burgundy mist and maybe 1600 for a flower power plus shipping and case. You're right Rob, he gets his stuff from Allparts check out this body I'm interested in.

Think the one above is shell pink

Yes it is - I was referring to the Burgundy Mist Precision that somebody posted a picture of earlier in the thread

This one?

That's the one.
I wouldn't have the bridge & Pickup covers or the anodised scratchplate but the rest of it is perfect.

Just found these basses over on Facebook and I have to say I'm damn interested! Been planning on getting a nice Limelight 62/66 P but these Peterbuilts are damn appealing! What is the standard spec of these basses? Anyone know what the tone is like?
