This is pretty much the exact opposite of what I look for in a bass.... but I love it...

Top made from a 70 year old dynamite crate...anyone got £1100 for my xmas present?

I'd really like a Peterbuilt or a Limelight 57' P bass. 2 tone sunburst, maple neck, anodised pickguard. Doesn't get any better than that for me.

I've never really thought about a telebass but looking at some of Peters I can feel some GAS coming on again...

Damn, those look good.

I have an appointment with Peter to try this bass out on Monday. If it sounds and plays as good as it looks it will come home with me. :)

I shouldn't like it, but I do. Beautiful vintage tint to the neck.

Last update was that the body, neck and electronics were all done... just awaiting a few of the cosmetic bits, scratch plate, matching thumb rest etc,

Hopefully be ready in the new year :)

The Dynamite P is mine now. I'll start an NBD thread after I have taken some pictures, it plays and sounds fantastic. P meets Thunderbird, think Live At Leeds.

Cool, it'll be a definite conversation starter at your gigs

I saw this bass on Peter's facebook page and wondered who bought it. It looks fantastic and if it sounds like a t-bird, you are one lucky man. I'm very jealous. Get some sound clips up as well as pics please.

Yes, we want to find out if it's the bomb. Bet it's a blast to play, etc. Boom-tish.

Anyone had any contact with Peter recently?

I sent him messages on facebook and through his website about a week ago, but no answer yet.

Thanks for that, at least it's not just me.

He seems to have vanished off the face of the earth...

That's a shame, I was developing quite serious GAS for one of his P basses.

I'm hoping he's just gone on holiday or something. He's such a nice guy I can't see him just ignoring me.

Looking forward to getting my new Jazz which is a little overdue so hopefully not too far away :)

Glad to report Peter is back on track after sorting out some personal issues :)

NBD in a week or so :)

Has it arrived yet? Just been looking on his Instagram feed and he's got some cracking looking basses on there!

It's just waiting for a scratchplate. Peter has gone through three different orders and he's not happy with the colour of any of them so I think he's now making one himself.
