1976fenderhead
I've just bought this bass from a fellow basschatter and I think I will want to replace the bridge at some point. I'm not too fussed about bridges but this one does allow for a lot of lateral movement of the saddles which affects tuning, so I'd just like one that keeps them steady laterally. It has 6 screws. I'd preferably like something that matches this so I wouldn't have to redrill, but if not possible then I'll take something else. What do you guys recommend? You can see the bridge in this photo: http://cdn1.gbase.co...iwahnpto_so.jpg The only one I've found so far that seems to match the screws is this one: http://www.allparts....e-2-p-1761.html But the string grooves look all too much to the left, which seems like it will make all the strings be off-centre above the pickup dots...? Ghost_Bass
This one, it's a classic Fender retrofit: Or this one, on the cheap side: http://www.sinewavemusic.co.uk/guitar-parts/bass/bass-bridge-5-string---chrome-85.html
1976fenderhead
What about this one I found later: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181213593914?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Too cheap?
dannybuoy
For the price I don't think you can go far wrong. It's only a lump of metal after all! 17mm spacing on that particular cheap one though - yours is probably 18/19mm stock. Ghost_Bass
Bought a 4 string cheap bridge from ebay a few years back, felt cheap, screws worked loose and i could feel sharp edges with my hand (costed around £10). Flogged it as soon as i had the opportunity and bought a Gotoh 201 for around £30. Best decision i ever made!
Biaeothanata-Bassist
Go with the Badass V, you won't regret it. Had one on my old 5 string and use Badass II's on all my 4 strings. OH THE SUSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- -AAAAIN!
geoffbyrne
Y'know, the one thing I don't need much of in my bass playing is sustain. G.
