woodyratm
Hey guys, It's looking like I'm likely to need a much larger board than I thought. Likely around a PT-Pro in size. I've got a few options:- 1) buy the PT Pro 2) build one to suit. Both options will require a softcase (trying to keep my setup to "one trip" - bass, amp, cab and board in one journey!) I notice Thomann sell the Pro case for 100 quid, is there anything cheaper than this? Or am I better looking at other types of cases? Cheers! iD Entity
I know you're looking at a softcase for your needs, but for a pedal board that size... you may want to reconsider. They are really heavy, especially a fully loaded PT Pro. Soft cases usually don't come with wheels, whereas the hardcase will. The idea is one journey with everything... but the weight and awkwardness of the PT Pro in a softcase will most likely split that up anyways. Totally my opinion =)
woodyratm
You do raise a good point about the awkwardness. I need to get my pedals onto a smaller layout. Time to break out the pencils!
ratman
And once you've got your nice pedals mounted on your board, add up what it is now worth. Now tell me you will be happy with a soft case. IMO, get a hard case if you want to keep your toys in good nick.
Prime_BASS
I have 8 pedals on a disco commuter, with room for maybe 2 more. If that helps.
JapanAxe
I use a fully-loaded PT2. The case with it is monstrously huge, so on occasion (when space is very short) I have used a cheap holdall with a piece of foam over the knobs. It works but it's not ideal. woodyratm
Thanks for the input guys - I decided to build my own (which will be purple like my bass). Got a Gator case which will fit perfectly. Just need to wait for the George L's to arrive now.
