1973 Gibson EBO. All original. FS. NOW **SOLD** £1099

A played but in great condition vintage 1973 Gibson EBO. Serial number is imprinted on back of head stock 174079 as is Made In USA.

There is some buckle rash to the back, and a couple of light marks to the rear of the neck, the black finish on the neck has worn in the busy areas along the edge of the lower and upper edges, 3/4/5th fret areas.

The front of the body is excellent with no real dings or marks, there are a few bumps on the lower edge, all these are age and play related. The head stock has some bumps and a few dings to the edges but nothing serious really.

All is original, and the sound is thunderous.

There was some confusion early doors because the serial number indicated it was 1964 but due to the pick up position I have revised the listing to read original 1973, sorry for the confusion.

This is a 70's EBO due to the position of the mudbucker pick up, the 60's models all had the pick up at the end of the fretboard, and the serial number matching was very random from Gibson in those days !

That is just lovely. Presuming it's short scale. Is it heavy? Is the neck fat/chunky or slim and what is the width at the nut? Also, how well does it balance on a strap?

I managed to write that with one hand whilst wiping the drool from my face with the other

nut width is 42mm so between jazz and p
weighs 9.2 lbs, is 30" scale and is certainly not chunky and is very easy to play in fact.
Strap balance is fine.
