I was lucky enough to be invited by Laurence Canty the chap who wrote the "Electric Bass Guitar" tuition book who's a friend. He knew Jet through an article he had written for Bassist magazine (it was later reused as a tribute following Jet's death). Even though he was quite frail he played well - even playing Apache and ever the rebel lit a fag up! We went back stage and Jet was very chatty and down to earth. Great to meet a hero who turns out to be a nice guy.Suffice to say if I had a grand and a half to spare I'd be investigating this. grandad Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Had the pleasure of meeting & chatting with him over a fag at the 1st NEC 'Mad About Guitars' show. As mentioned above, he was a real gentleman. I remember, aged 12, hearing 'Apache' for the 1st time. I've been a Shadows fan ever since & still enjoy playing many of their numbers.
