my experience with T shirts is it's hard to make money, you always finish with a load of one size

We did quite well on that front, did a bit of back-of-a-fag-packet maths and ordered a mixture of sizes based on who we thought would buy 'em - go easy on mens' small, about equal amounts of medium and extra-large mens' and small and large womens', and about equal (slightly larger) numbers of mens' large and womens' medium. Worked for a rock band when most of our sales were to larger-proportioned men and medium-sized women, anyway...

And that's why it totally depends on your band's audience demographic. We sell mostly mens and ladies small and men's X-large. Medium for both men and ladies have hardly sold any at all.
