lowregisterhead Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Anyone seen on in the UK yet, or tried one out? Looks interesting... Quote

BigRedX Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Thanks. I have to say apart from the bridge and tuning system it LOOKS pretty dull. Quote
AndyTravis Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 (edited) They had a fretted and Fretless ones at Musikmesse when I went in 2012. They are fantastic looking. The two they had were prototypes, and played terribly. But they were very well put together. A Fretless 4 would be of great interest to me. At the time they said a 4 and 6 would follow the 5 if there was sufficient demand. Edited September 10, 2013 by AndyTravis Quote
Dingus Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 These are beautiful basses . I want one . Quote
Roland Rock Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I'm glad that more and more headless bass makers are eschewing a tuning system which sticks out of a bass' lumpy arse like hemorrhoids. Quote
lowregisterhead Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 If (a big 'if', admittedly) the US list prices are anything to go by, it should be around £1700 over here, maybe less as it's made in the Czech Republic. House Music are listed as a distributer, but I've had no response from them so far. Are they still in business? Quote
TomRichards Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Try contacting Mark Stickley at Bass Direct. I am not sure if he has any, but he can probably get access as the sales team at NS Design still has some ties to Spector. (Interesting story for another time.) These basses are a perfect blend between NS Design headless innovations and the Kubicki style string in the headstock. They look great, and play well. They are especially well suited to fingerstyle players as the piezo system in these is superior. Quote

LukeFRC Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 the bass centre (the one that used to be a shop a short walk from Liverpool st station and then went online only) have them on their website. Not sure they have them in stock or even sure if the shop is still in business.... but they are on the website Quote
tauzero Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 How easy are the tuners to use? They look a little less accessible than the Steinberger type ones. Quote

Westie9 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Has anyone any thoughts on these yet? I'm in the market for a fretless and really like the look of these... Quote
lowregisterhead Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014
Has anyone any thoughts on these yet? I'm in the market for a fretless and really like the look of these...
I tried one at the Bass Guitar Show earlier this ear, and it was very nice to play, had loads of tonal variety and felt very well built, but for me the the body and neck weren't quite in the right place physically, if you know what I mean. It would probably just be a case of getting used to it, but I have other basses that sit better for my purposes at least, and I don't have £2100 spare for an impulse buy, and much as I love the look of them! Worth checking out though, Simon. The one I played was on the House Music stand. Quote
Billy Apple Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Thought I'd bump this thread as I've been looking at them. Anyone got one yet? Quote
