Quick question about pedal order

Hi Guys, just a quick question. I've recently got a couple of pedals, and I'm setting them up at the moment. The 2 I'm wondering about are a T-Rex Tonebug Fuzz and a Bad Monkey. The Convention seems to be to have Guitar -> Fuzz -> OD -> amp from what I can find. However, when I do this the OD makes the amp less distorted, which seems a little counter intuitive. Have I got them the 'wrong' way round? When I put them the other way the OD doesn't cut the distortion, but doesn't really seem to add much either. I was just wondering because I've read that you want OD after the Fuzz in the chain to boost it, but in my case the opposite seems to be happening.

there are few rules and those are more like guidelines, let your ears be your guide matey, if it sounds good to you then that's what works...

Agree with all the above. Different gear responds differently to different pedal arrangements. In my case, I use an Iron Ether Oxide for Fuzz and B7K for dirt, and I found the Oxide fuzz MUST come before my B7K dirt, or any pedal for that matter, or it just sounds weak.
