Hotrod100
We are a working covers band with a varied set list which is geared around getting the females in the room around their handbags and shaking their little, or big, booties (as the case may be!). This means we play a mix of soul, 80s, iconic indie and rock too. We won't do many more than 20 odd gigs a year but they will all be at great music venues rather than the pub circuit. We have a mix of pay scales at these venues and they tend to be between £40 - £80 but they are invaluable to us as they usually bring higher paid private event work which range from £100 - £250, so worth doing the low end ones long term. Hence, we are not doing this for the money just the enjoyment of rockin a joint to the rafters!!! We need a bassist who wants to have a laugh and enjoy playing to party loving audiences and being a part of a premium quality covers band. As we play such a variation in styles, we require a musician who can adapt and recreate the intonations of the original style of player. A good standard of equipment is needed too and appropriate for playing at reasonable sized venues. We have an excellent 2K rig and we share responsibility for equipment to make sure that no one is carrying everything to gigs. We will hold auditions in the next few weeks, so please let us have your information through as soon as possible. Our website is being transferred at the minute, so not available but Facebook is still ok. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in coming along! Hotrod100
We are all spread out across the region as band members. We rehearse at Rich Bitch Studios, Selly Oak and Neon Studios, Burntwood and live Rowney Green, Wolverhampton, Cannock and Dudley. So around Birmingham is pretty much as accurate as I can get. tonyf
Having the honour of knowing the guys in The Retro Band, I can speak with authority by saying that Simon and the boys are a top bunch of blokes, easy to get on with, great musicians and fantastic entertainers. This is a great opportunity if you're looking for a top Midland's based covers band. T
