hamfist
SOLD Yamaha RBX270J in yellow natural satin. Only about 8 months old. Still in superb condition. Professionally set up. Great playing and versatile instrument. One or two tiny little dinks, but you have to look very hard to find them. Pretty much immaculate really. I do not really want to sell this as it plays just so well, but I need money to fund a rather unhealthy new obsession with 80's Japanese basses, so this must go. The pictures of the bass show it loaded with a pretty serious pickup upgrade, of a Dimarzio humcancelling ULtra jazz pickup in the bridge position and a Wilkinson WBP vintage alnico V precision pickup in the neck position. I rate this PJ pickup combination very highly, and with those upgraded pickups installed, the price is £155. The price of £110 is with the original pickups re-installed - see original pickups in separate picture. Controls are the standard master volume, pickup blend and tone. As an extra is a custom thumbrest in between the two pickups. Alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Good woods, but still a nice light bass. Comes with a thin gigbag. The quoted prices are for collection, but I am happy to post and am experienced in doing so. Postage within mainland UK would cost £12. Bass would be double boxed with ample padding. TRBboy
Unbelievably good basses for no money at all, and easily mod-able. I always wish they did a 5-string version of these, I prefer them to the RBX37x range. Anyways, GLWTS.
