£700 or best offer...
Up for sale after 23 years of ownership my beloved Kramer.
It is a one off. The bass was customised by the previous owner and has a fretboard extension, Old Bartolini neck PU, Delano Humbucker in bridge position, and EMG preamp.
It was originally designed to be played as either a 4 or 5..hence the extra hole on the headstock...but it was awful to play as a 5..so now its only played as a 4.
I have the original kramer hard case too, in OK condition.
I have gigged all round the country with my baby..and recorded many CD's with it..we part ways because I have too many fretlesses.
pics..

Here are 2 tracks I recorded with it way back in 1999.
The recordings are very minimalist...one mic between my bass cab and the tablas...straight on to DAT.....no processing of any sort...completely DRY RECORDING

Looks like fun and sounds great - but too poor to even think about it at the mo!

Hope you get some proper interest..

Very tasty indeed! B)

do you know if the body was custom made too, or is it one of the very early Kramer ones made of koa?

Hi...the body and neck are original Kramer...the body was reshaped.

This is a great playing, great sounding, great feeling..and very thoughtfully customised tool..it been in my stable for over 23 years and held its own. In fact it has a wider tone pallette than my recently acquired Remington Steele, and is not outclassed by the Le Fay at all.....but 3 fretlesses is too much of a luxury (I also have a wishbass)...especially as they're all 4 stringers.....I wouldn't be at all upset if I end up keeping it...

typical..when this bass was being gigged everywhere...and blowing people away with its sound..after every gig "let me know if you ever want to sell it"...now its for sale...not a peep....bloody typical.
