gapiro Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 So the futurlearn site went live (yesterday) This is basically a site doing some free university modules (no qualifications) online. Of interest to me was this one: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/critical-listening-for-studio-production Quote
Vinny Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 And... registered! Good spot, that man. Quote
bertbass Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 It's never too late to learn. Thanks. Quote
gapiro Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 Its a good idea, whether it will work in practise remains to be seen! It has taken off massively in the US apparently Quote
bartelby Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 So the course starts today. Who actually signed up for it? Quote
Grangur Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014
So the course starts today. Who actually signed up for it?
I did. Don't know how well I'll do, but nothing ventured.... Quote
Guest bassman7755 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Looks like a similar thing to coursera https://www.coursera.org/ Quote
johnDeereJack Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I signed up last week and started the course today. It's very well presented, looks very interesting and I got my first two questions on frequency and pitch relationship correct! Quote
oggiesnr Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 The trial questions are getting seriously hard but very interesting, it's a whole different way of listening to sounds, trying to identify which frequency has been filtered out is not easy. Quote
