JamesXP
Just picked up one of these for £50 you can see it in the attachments! As you can see it has 3 different knobs and 2 switches... I have no idea what these do I do believe it's active I could just find out for myself but I'm impatient and wondering if anybody knows what the nobs are for? also does anyone else have one of these? what's you're opinion? DarkHeart
i had the Slb2 in the early 90`s, yours is active, big switch is pup selector small switch is active on/off, front knob is neck pup vol, middle knob probably the bridge pup vol and back one tone, i stand to be corrected though. JamesXP
Thanks a lot for the help! Itching to get my hands on it haha! what benefits does the active circuitry have for tone on this if you remember?
DarkHeart
the passive slb2 pickups were a bit on the quiet side if i remember right as it was a budget bass in the day, id imagine the active bass will have a bit more punch, i used to love mine though cos it was my first `proper` bass. GeCo
in passive mode it is a bit quite, but you can fix it with a good pre-amp pedal. But beware, when you flip the switch into active, HELL's break loose🤯. Man, what a beefy sound it makes then, you blow everything away.
