shizznit
Is Mark now stocking Shuker basses? Seems to have 4 brand new pieces in the shop at the moment... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Shuker_stock.html
Kev
It looks like it! Mark seems to be advertising them as brand new/unplayed, can't see any other way he could have gotten hold of them?
cocco
I love the P, apart from the gold hardware.

simon1964
All four are currently on the stock basses page of John's website, at the same prices. Presumably he's agreed some sort of deal with Bass Direct to sell some of the stock basses he makes?
shizznit
Either way, it's good to see the brand at a shop. Jon's completion times for new orders are pretty long to say the least, so it's a good opportunity to grab yourself a quality bass instantly. Mark has had a few 2nd hand Shukers pass through the shop in recent years, but having 4 brand spanking new ones in stock, individually unique and different models at that, is pretty special. Scooby
The Bass Barn did have these very same basses on display (http://www.bassbarn....ss/Stock_Basses) I have no idea why Jon switched to Bass Direct? I suspect that as Bass Direct are retailers and the Bass Barn had the basses on a 'display only' basis, it is easier for for Jon to let Mark handle the finance side. However, Jon must be losing a fair wedge in commission? Edited October 1, 2013 by Scooby
Toasted
There's always a toss up between direct sales and retailer sales for any manufacturer. Less time dealing with customers generally equals more time to make product which is the bit that you actually get paid for.
