Kev
in my hugggggggge 2 years of playing i have owned: Fender Squier standard jazz bass: nice enough bass, cant remember much of it, only took me 2 months to reaslise i wanted something active Musicman SUB 4: i LOVED this bass, i basically learned using it, had it for about 18 months, looked dynamite with black on black and rosewood neck Peavey Grind 6: my first 6 strings, thought id give it a go! great bass for the money, sold it last week to fund another bass. OLP MM3: i owned this very briefly, nice enough bass, sounded okay but just felt a bit cheap, stingray's shouldnt be passive 'Contreversial' Fender customised PJ bass: yep you know the one... aggy preamp with emg's, looked fantastic, but i think i always preffered the way it looked to the way it sounded, still a great bass. Hudson PBS 6: FANTASTIC active string bass. i LOVE it so much, and im probably going to buy the 5 string version again when i have the cash. brilliant bass to play, very light and the spalt maple is fantastic! gutted i had to sell it for funds. Westfield Jazz Bass: My first project, bough it to mod the hell out of it! i replaced the neck, pickups, bridge and knobs, and added a pickup cover, it sounded and looked great! but againnnn passive jazzes i dont think are for me Musicman Stingray 5 'Blue Dawn': My baby, easily the best bass out of the lot, the finish is just gorgeous, and it sounds superb combined with my dave hall pedal and a bit of zoom reverb, superb, will take something very special to make me sell this! Status-Graphite Energy 4: my latest acquisition, bit of a bargain from ebay, needs a bit of a service on the electronics, but other than that its a lovely bass, very comfortable and nice to play, and the LED's just top off the look! thats quite alot for 2 years, isnt it........ Doctor J
Starting in 1989 up to present day... Aria Pro II XRB I butchered this, refretted, three pickups, painted, learned a hell of a lot Aria Pro II Laser Electric I later made one fretless out of the two Aria basses ESP 400 Series Jazz still got this one Rickenbacker 4003 Loved the tone, hated the lack of contours for the wrist, sold it Ibanez SR3006E Prestige Great bass but I'm just not a 6 string player anymore. Sold it a couple of weeks ago Fender Jazz 1977 It's starting a new life this week Fender Jazz 62RI fretless CIJ really nice but sold it cos I just wasn't using it enough Bacchus Standard 5 My first Bacchus, battered but I love it. Hotwire Custom 5 Never as good a bass as it should have been. I'm currently renovating it, there's a great bass in there, just needs some tweaking Bacchus Venus 5 Bought with a view to defretting, but when I played the neck I couldn't do it, it's too nice Lakland 55-02 Bought off ebay at an absurdly low price. Never really bonded with it for some reason and sold it on. Unquestionably a great bass though and I miss it Bacchus Woodline P Classic I needed a P and I know I can rely on Bacchus. Great, great bass, this one.

I've only ever owned one, and that was a very ordinary black Fender P-bass! Just thinking about getting back into playing the bass, so maybe i'll see if there's one i like the look of in these collections!!! Nito
I may just add my por list here. I own 3 basses, one is a hybrid of a P copy body and electrics, with the neck of a Westone Thunder I-A Bass, to my surprise it was pretty strait forward. They where casualties of a major incident where I lost all my guitars and basses; they got destroyed. My other bass is a Harper fretless 6 strings that I managed to get on an Ebay for 70 squids, and is not bad at all. My third one is another Harper that I managed to get for £49, and seeing that the 3 previous ones went for £75, £80, and £85, I consider this to be the buy of the century. 5 string acoustic, fretted tho. Now I'm after some decent fretless acoustic, and a 4 or 5 strings electric that is quality, maybe a Jazz or a Stingray, love them both. Laterz.
