Vern-Icepick Posted June 17, 2008 Share Posted June 17, 2008 Yamaha TRB 1005 Transluscent Dark Red - £350 for quick sale Hi everyone, I need to raise some cash in a hurry so I'm selling my immaculate TRB1005 which comes in a beautiful red over quilted maple finish. The official colour is "Transluscent Dark Red" but it's essentially kind of a scarlet colour, very vibrant and eye catching. I picked this up some 18 months or so ago thinking I'd like to get into 5 string but I've never really got around to using it in anger and only really played it a few times at home. As such it is in as new condition. Will post some pics shortly. Although this is one of the more modern TRB series, made in Korea rather than Japan, don't let that fool you into thinking there's been a quality compromise. The build quality is exceptional - think Lakland Skyline workmanship and the quilted maple cap is very easy on the eye. Tonally you've got plenty of scope with the two pick-ups and three band EQ and the 35" scale means the B string sounds as great as all the other strings. New, one of these will cost about £500 over the net. As I said, I'm looking for a quick sale so asking just £350 for this virtually unused example.
