Bolo
I was pointed out this by Rythmguitar who plays Engl: http://www.englamps.de/index.php?id=38&tx_ddfproducts_pi1[uid]=123&iPhoneBypass=1 It looks like a very well featured amp with some unique options! -2 separate preamps AND 2 separate power amps for you to mix & match. Plug in 2 basses with each their own path. All the bells and whistles you could wish for in a gigging setup. However I have yet to find a video of it that doesn't sound rather underwhelming.... where is Friedland when you need him? edit: pitcher Edited September 20, 2013 by Bolo
charic
I'd like to see what they could do with a full valve bass head
winterfire666
this looks cool, no weight in the specs though, probably heavy
stingrayPete1977
I like that, I have been suggesting a similar thing based on a pair of genz heads, I invented (in my head) the same idea but with only one input but two 900w outputs, the rest of it is the same as my shuttlemax anyway. The second input would be great for db users rather than using the fx return.
icastle
I particularly like the lack of graphic EQ, the lack of horrid inbuilt effects and providing two separately EQ'd channels is a stroke of simple genius. At £1300 it's not cheap, but if this is half as good as the ENGL guitar amps I've used in the past, then this is going to be an absolutely fabulous piece of kit. stingrayPete1977
That's why I bought my max head Ian, its a very complex amp in a very simple box, fet channel and valve channel with their own EQs, I can see more amps going this way, the twin input will be great for Sheehan fans and anyone with a real stereo Ric! Bolo
Running two classD power sections it will not be the lightest but also none too heavy I imagine.
icastle
Ironically, I like valves in guitar amps but absolutely loathe them in bass amps. Other than that (and the fact I don't have £13 let alone £1300 ) it would really suit me down to the ground.
