Jimryan
New Bass! Hurray! Today my new Squier Deluxe Jazz Bass IV arrived. I bought it with the intention of modding it. I know a body would be cheaper, but this way, I've a bass to play whilst I collect the parts and I've then parts to sell to make up for things. Got to say though, it's amazing. It arrived in tune, I needed to lower the action, but still, the set up is amazing and it looks fantastic. A bit heavier than I thought it'd be, but I can deal with that. I think it's fantastic and would go as far to say, that it's better than my old American deluxe jazz. Bigwan
If it's that good why modify it?
Jimryan
Because I want the one in my head more, it just means I'll have to get another one of these.

[/quote] Careful, consistency in modern Squier basses isn't great, although better than 10 years ago. If you have found a good one, leave it alone and find a not so good one to mod Edited September 20, 2013 by Kev
