New Bass! Hurray!

Today my new Squier Deluxe Jazz Bass IV arrived. I bought it with the intention of modding it. I know a body would be cheaper, but this way, I've a bass to play whilst I collect the parts and I've then parts to sell to make up for things.

Got to say though, it's amazing. It arrived in tune, I needed to lower the action, but still, the set up is amazing and it looks fantastic. A bit heavier than I thought it'd be, but I can deal with that. I think it's fantastic and would go as far to say, that it's better than my old American deluxe jazz.

I'd get a good look now, the only original part that will be on this at the end, will be the body and cavity cover.

Because I want the one in my head more, it just means I'll have to get another one of these.

Careful, consistency in modern Squier basses isn't great, although better than 10 years ago. If you have found a good one, leave it alone and find a not so good one to mod :)
