Brilliant!

Quality answer!! thebassman Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013
I ordered mine at the beginning of May, Alex offered to change my order to the new range soon afterwards, so I had to wait over 4 months to get mine. But I do have the satisfaction of owning the first Super Twin!

My Super Twin is in transit and will be here today! :-D I ordered it over 3 months ago and the wait has been painful but hopefully my knee won't be in future! Typical, our singer's ill so no gig tonight and after a flurry of one a week we don't have another one till November! Will be pushing for lots of band practices ;-)
I see, that makes sense. I might have to make any enquiry as to the lead time, i should imagine there has been a bit of a mad rush for the new cabs though, so i am guessing it will be a couple of months at least. cheers thebassman Quote
Salt on your Bass? Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Wowza, check the BF facebook page for a size comparison - 1st Gen v 3rd Gen..... Really cant wait for my big twin to arrive!! Quote
alexclaber Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013
So, some questions for Alex: Are the new cabs to be used only in pairs of the same model? If they can be mix/matched wich combos would you reccomend?
http://barefacedbass.com/which-barefaced.htm Quote

ern500evo Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Man, I was doing so well, being patient, telling myself the wait would soon be over, but now reading all this and seeing the pics I desperately want my Big Twin 2 to arrive!! Quote
gillento Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013
Excellent news. How come you guys are getting your new cabs so quick? Have barefaced majorly increased turn round time? .....
Well, my question exactly! I have a Big Baby 2 on order since June and I have no idea when mine will be shipping Quote
maggsybass Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Super Twin no3 with it's new playmates. We are so not worthy! (Well the MB800 might be) ;-) Sorry, no pint of Hobgoblin - spent all day waiting in for Fedex and then playing................................ :-D Quote

Salt on your Bass? Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Great pic! Look forward to your initial thoughts on the cab Quote

maggsybass Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I've only played my Super Twin indoors so far. It's very, very light yet feels really solid. Handles look really strong! Finish is extremely hard and the wheels at the back seem very sturdy as do the feet. I was a bit concerned reading some of the comments about the finish on some of the older models but this one seems totally bomb proof. The sound is rich, hi-fi too. Sounds brilliant with the MB800 on clean or boost. When playing chords you can hear every note clearly. Drop D sounds great as well as noodling up at the dusty end on D and G strings. Oh, and it's extremely loud :-D- I cannot imagine ever wanting or needing anything else now, I'm very happy. Quote

Also, are the old lines discontinued now? Quote

Musicman20 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Despite the fact a lot of owners said they don't need to upgrade, there are a lot of the previous cabs for sale. Looks like they couldn't resist! Quote
