wombatboter
Got this bass through a trade.. They are made in Italy.. Ash body Maple neck rosewood fretboard Warwick Machine Heads Göldo Bridge Mama MM Pickup Passive (Vol. Tone) Not as lightweight as you think it would be and you have to get used to the smaller fret-spaces. But this is definitally not a toy, it sounds like a grown up MusicMan.. a bit boomy but with a bit of equalising on the amp you can get it under control. The strings were a bit dead when I unpacked the bass and haven't changed them yet (they weren't even underneath the string tree on the headstock) but that's not a priority right now. I'm gonna take it to a gig this weekend and see what happens... Took some pictures and made a small clip to give an impression although I still have to get used to it, due to the size. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eltyenMo0Mw Edited March 24, 2014 by icastle Link fixed. d-basser
Wow didn't quite get how small it is till the last pic! Until then the body looked kind of Curbow sized. Does the low E even go around the tuner? In the second pic it just looks like it is bent round and slotted through.
wombatboter
I didn't dare to check it out since I don't even know if these are normal strings which are used.. I'll contact the builder to have some more info but as long as it stays in place I don't think there is a problem.. There's not a lot of pressure on the strings so I doubt that the E should snap. One of the reasons why I bought it, is that I have this Harvest double gigbag and whenever I take two basses along it weighs a ton..With this bass as a spare it gets a bit lighter in the end without feeling "unsafe"
