New pics - see last post!

Finally, after selling a whole HEAP of stuff, I've just put down a big old deposit on a new Shuker build!

It's a four string jazz bass. Here are the specs:

4 string J bass

34" scale

22 frets

rock maple slab neck, fender style + headstock (neck will be same width and specs as my 1975 Jazz Bass)

60s/70s carve

headstock veneer to match body top, sprayed in transparent blue too

two way truss rod

carbon fibre reinforcement

Birdseye Maple fretboard

medium frets

Blue Led side dots, mini toggle switching.

Black face dots (6mm)

brass, adjustable nut laquered black.

satin finish on neck

white ash body

5A Flame maple top.

Transparent blue finish.

wetlook gloss topcoat.

black hardware

individual bridge units

hipshot tuners (elephant ears)

rubber knobs (Like 4-94 laklands)

recessed neck bolts

nordstrand fat stacks

shuker preamp, 3 band, internal mid freq control and gain adjust (1 - 4.5x), 18v

quick access battery compartments

side output jack

Knobs: Volume, Blend, Bass, Mid, Treble
Switches: Active/OFF/Passive, LEDS on/off, Coil tap.

I have mocked up a Sadowsky I found with pretty much how I want it.

Can't wait !!

Regards

Mike

Can you ask Jon about my "sparkly" bass when you're their too. He'll know the one your talking about !
No pics yet, but when I do i'll start my own build thread.

Blimey, busy, busy chap - Glad I got mine done nice and early!

He does make some lush stuff - I think his website could do with an update as he's got some really spectacular basses out recently (especially yours Bassmonster!), though the poor bugger doesn't have enough time as it is!

Keeping very close tabs on this build, I'm not sure how responsible I am for Mike going to Jon after he played the Jazz 5 I had a while back!

And your SC just sent me over the edge!

I've emailed Jon for any info today.

Mike

I was gutted not to be able to get the pics I promised, he told me that he had yours at home and would be in touch.

He also told me that to get any photos from him, you would have to keep nagging at him.
