gillento Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) Selling a set of Roland PK5 midi pedals as my prog days are way over. Edited November 29, 2013 by gillento
RichF Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 hiya mate, I was interested in a basic set of midi pedals. This is a good price but wonder whether they are too complicated. What do the switches on the top do? Are they easily assigned? Need a yamaha synth/module? Cheers, Rich
gillento Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 Rich, I am not 100% sure what you are trying to accomplish with the midi pedals you are looking for. But, if patch changes is are the only thing you wanna do, the PK5 might be a bit too much. Anyway, in case I got this wrong, here is alink to the manual: Owner’s Manual (PK-5_OM.pdf)
RichF Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 thanks, that's helpful - I confused things - I meant to say, do you need a Roland e-series or similar - not sure why I said Yamaha.
gillento Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 Back in the day, I used a Waldorf Pulse as a sound generator with the PK5 set. So a Yamaha should be fine as well, I suppose
ziggydolphinboy Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 hi there interested in these tooo ok so i gather you need a sound module , do you need a adapter and midi leads ? and how would i run this thorugh an amp ? i gather id need a splitter box to put both bass and these pedal sounds throuhg my bass amp. sorry for so many questions . is the £210 including postage to england? kindest regards ziggy.
gillento Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 Hey Ziggy, Yes, price is £210 shipped to the UK. Yes, you'll need a sound module. The PK5 "just" sends midi notes to any sound module. From there you'll go the mixing desk (or some amp). If you'd like to put this , together, with your bass through your bass amp, you'll need a small mixer, not splitter. Although, if you plan on using low Taurus-style sub basses, I wouldn't recommend sending this to a bass amp, but that's just me. Two midi cables are included. The PK5 is powered by any standard Boss style 9V power supply.
steviedee Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I have these and they are excellent, I currently use them with Minimimonsta on my laptop. You can change the presets with the switches on the top very sturdy. Great price.
