nottswarwick Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) I love the bass. However, I'm not really using it live as in spite of trying, the neck dimensions are not totally compatible with my tendinitis. It is a lovely bass to play, has Labella flats on it, really well set up, great tone. I've played a fair few P basses incl US ones, and this one is better than most. So, I will be looking to either reluctantly sell it, or trade for a P bass with a narrower nut width. Don't get me wrong, it's not too wide, just too wide for me and my tendinitis to get along for a whole gig. Also interested in Yamaha BB, or short scale ie Mustang. Oh, it's Fiesta Red, and comes with original gig bag, schallers, etc etc. I'll try and do some pics in a bit, but it is truly almost as new. I'm disappointed, but my wrist just come first. andydye Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 V sad to see this matey! This bass is a joy to play and sounds awesome! I'd have it but I got me a black one while waiting for this one to come back up again...
nottswarwick Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 Lol thanks Andy. Don't be sad, I'm cool with it.
DanEly Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 This does make me miss my one I used to have..
Big Bass Man Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 This IS my old bass!! I miss it too, this is a truly awesome bass
Geek99 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I have tried one of these (also red, do would probably sound the same) and it was awesome Picked up a pickup of this model on eBay for use into custom bass - it was that good
BigBassBob Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I tried one of these a few years ago and was actually blown away. Average action but the one I tried was very resonant and had a healthy P-bass growl. I was tempted to dip into the overdraft to grab that one there and then. Same colour too. Good luck with the sale
nottswarwick Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 Thanks. It's only for my wrist that it is being put up for sale. If it doesn't go I won't be gutted, I play it at home all the time. Will trade for a P with a slimmer nut, of a Jazz, or a short scale something maybe. Or cash.
Kev Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Tempted.com! I was after a classic vibe in the same colour, but this looks great! Little out my price range as a result unfortunately but if i free up the cash I could well be back Have a bump anywho.
Big Bass Man Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Bassbiscuits - enjoy this bass it's brilliant, you won't be disappointed :-)
bassbiscuits Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Thanks Big Bass Man! I've been a big P bass fan for the last 20 years or so and this one ticks a whole load of boxes as a welcome addition to my bass family
nottswarwick Posted October 7, 2013 Author Posted October 7, 2013 Lol, this bass is actually now staying with me. Bass biscuits and I have mutually decided to cancel the transaction. It's a great bass, not 100% right for either of us! but it am keeping it for now at least. All is good Great to meet you Chris
bassbiscuits Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Indeed - apologies for the change of heart nottswarwick! It's a very fine bass tho - happy playing! Cheers mate

timmchale2009 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Would you say that this Has this got a good hearty neck on it?!

[/quote] Depends what you mean by hearty. It's a wide nut, but the profile front to back is medium to my hands, or even bordering on slim. It is NOT like a baseball bat at all. Let's settle on slim but wide. It is really easy to play, but as stated above my low grade tendonitis is the only reason to sell it. Come and try it.
