maidencity
I have a Hiwatt 200 Custom Amp from the 80's, and it actually is belonging to my Brother in Law.Last year, I was checking out a few prices on this with different sales, and was being quoted prices in the £900-£1200 region.Just wanted to ask other Bassists, who might know what the actual price range would be, as I could'nt imagine it fetching that price, if you can pick up a rig cheaper 2nd hand.Look forward to views or information on this. discreet
I can certainly imagine it fetching that price. It's a top bit of kit.
Musky
I can certainly imagine it fetching that price. It's a top bit of kit.
Ditto that. They were extremely well made, sound amazing and are no longer available new. That all puts them in demand.
JTUK
It's an all valve classic so providing it works well or just needs a service or re-valve, then it will be sought after. In the grand scheme of things, there are better amps out there now and more suited to today's gig but that is hardly the point, people could want it because it has a cool niche.
