BEBASS Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) Hi all, beautiful Warwick Streamer for sale for £850. I'm selling as I've had it for about 10 years and hardly ever pick it up. It's a great instrument but I love playing my Fender P more. I'm based in Brighton if anyone would like to try it out. It's currently set up with 40-100 DR HI beams and a low action. Please note that I'm looking for a sale at the moment so no trade offers thanks. Edited February 28, 2014 by BEBASS
loulou_2607 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Hi, Is it possible to play with a very low action with this neck ? Can you give me measurements of this neck (at the nut and at the 12') ? Rgds
BEBASS Posted October 7, 2013 Author Posted October 7, 2013 Yes it's possible to get a really low action. I already have the truss rod adjusted so the neck is close to flat. Also, the Nut is adjustable unlike a lot of other basses. Adjusting the nut so it is as low as you can get it (without the open strings vibrating against the frets) feels great if you like a low action How should I measure the neck?
Grangur Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I've a bass identical to this. I love mine. To me playing the Streamer is like coming home. The neck has a narrow front to back depth. I have a low action. It has a great growl. With the original pups it gives a good variety of sound but all are warm and rich. The nut width is about 43 if I remember correctly. I'm about 4000 miles from mine right now. This is at a great price too.
BEBASS Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks for your post Grangur! I'll be sad to see it go as it's such a beautiful instrument! Hope you're reunited with your Streamer again soon! Had a couple of tempting trade offers but I'm afraid I really need cash for this Bass.
cocco Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I played one of these in a shop about 10 years ago, loved it so I ordered the 5 string, hated that so I sold it. Should really have bought the 4. Gorgeous bass
MarkusWarwick Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Hows the condition? Straight neck, etc?
BEBASS Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 Hi, the condition is superb - the neck is completely straight. The bass was manufactured in 1999 (serial number A-057651-99) and has spent the vast majority of its life hanging on the wall! The Bass weighs 9.15lbs
spacecowboy Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 For £850 that's a steal. Good luck with the sale buddy.
MarkusWarwick Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 This is a ridiculously good price, has to be said, and SS1s are amazing basses too
