John Cellario Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Anyone got any unused band names lying around that we could use....trying to stay away from the silly sort e.g.Gorton Zola And The Crazy Cheese Dreams. All suggestions gratefully accepted...I know there are web sites for this sort of thing but the names on there are junk. Quote

Painy Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I used to play with a band called the Floating Greyhounds who drew their name out of a hat. Apparently the other two names in the hat were Squeeky Pidgeon and Salty Badger. One of my greatest regrets is never having had the opportunity to play in a band called Salty Badger! Quote
LeftyJ Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Over here there's a party cover band whose name translates to "Free Beer". Whenever they play anywhere, the poster will say "Tonight: free beer!" and the venue will be packed with disappointed alcoholics Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I played in 'sponge fingers' once. Quote

BassTractor Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) Find Your Own Name. This One's Taken. ...seems like a nice enough band name to me, but ymmv 'n' allsorts. As indicated by others, it much depends on the music style and what you need to convey to a suspected audience with it. Tell us some more about your band, and it will get easier. John Cellario Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 Thanks for the suggestions....! we're playing 70's bluesy/rocky Steely Dan, Little Feet, Keb Mo, Robben Ford, Crusaders kind of stuff if that helps. I know it's great fun coming up with weird ones but hopefully there's a few more serious ones too! Quote
