badboy1984
On the amp forum I've posted a thread relating to my Ampeg BA108 buzzing problem when playing certain low notes on the E string. i.e A note on the E string. I know the amp is cheap and i can easily buy another one but i really like the tone, size and weight of this little ampeg amp. So therefor i'm looking into a solution of fixing this amp. The buzz sounds so sorts of static buzzing when a certain low note is play, sound on the speaker sounds fine, no distortion or farting but the resonate vibrate trigger the buzz. After researching into this problem on Google, it seems is very common on the BA108 and BA110. I've took the grill off and tighten every screw i can see on the speaker but still no fix. So i decide to play the problem note to trigger the buzz then gentle touch the spongy part (the spongy thing that wraps around the screws and the speaker) with a little bit of pressure and the buzz gone away, it seems like it stops the resonate vibrate and it let the note rings out nicely. see link below for the photo that someone took in talkbass forum. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=288731&d=1347248402 What can i do to fix this? put some sort of sponge between grill and the part? I've kinda stop the buzzing by adding mid, turn treble down abit and leave bass flat on the amp.
