Hi, I have joined this because a mate of mine claims Cliff Burtons pulling teeth is widely regarded as the greatest bass solo of all time. I thought he was joking but the first website I went on rated it as number 1!!! I would laugh if it was not so sad. I grew up on a diet of Metallica but this is just madness.

My favourite album is S&M (got DVD & CD) - never ever again i went back to studio versions of those songs. Welcome Home Sanitarium, Mama said, Nothing Else Matters, Unforgiven - have been listening to these all over again and again, love them and also love the bass style.Hardly any trash ;-P
Pretty much for me Jason is the most charismatic of Metallica bass players, now for how they treated him my thanks to his contribution to those wonderful songs I always enjoy.
