RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
Have the boss rc2, and am getting my finger out and using it again after gathering huge amounts of dust. I have offloaded pedals and effects unit and decided to get boss old half rack effects instead . Regarding the looper; is there a rack mount looper that doesn't cost the earth? If so , what? Heard of the lexicon jam man which is long discontinued. Any ideas? Cheers
cheddatom
you'd need a foot controller for the looper anyway so not sure there's much point? Unless you could control the whole rack rig with one controller which would be pretty cool.
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
Thanks for that. Which foot controller would I need ? What are the advantages ?

cheddatom
I was just thinking that to record and play back loops from a rack unit, you'd need a controller on the floor. Most MIDI controllers come with loads of switches, probably too many for what you want, so you might find that a "stomp box" actually takes up less room

paul h
I wish I could help but I know nothing about loopers. Sorry.

chriswareham
Doesn't the Boss space echo pedal have a "sound on sound" looping mode? I know it's supposed to be a digital recreation of the RE-201 or RE-301 tape echo, and the slightly more up market RE-501 that I owned certainly worked as a looper. Brilliant for layering a loop and then leaving it on playback while noodling over the top - instant John Martyn kind of sounds.
