Hi
Just got out my Ashdown electric blue combo, not used it for a while. Played two notes and power completely died. Fuse in plug is fine so I'm guessing its the fuse below the power switch....yes?

Cheers

Hank

Seems you have an offer of help from Ashdown themselves so I'd take it.

Fuses blowing twice sounds like potential trouble to me, maybe an issue with the power stage or supply problems. Once might be a freak occurance but twice is telling you something isn't right.

Good luck with it and keep us posted. ;)

It may well be, a friend had a Trace V-type combo that had a fried transformer which did the same.

Did they so how much it was to replace the transformer?

I think it was about £30 for a new transformer. Got a friend(who had totally slipped my mind) who going to have a look at it for me first.

Whereabouts do you live Hank? If you can get to Chelmsford we will happily get the amp sorted for you while you wait

Great to see this kind of customer service from a UK company. Good luck with getting it sorted, OP.

Spoke to Guy yesterday and ordered a new mains transformer. Just got home from work and there it is at home.

Thanks Guy and Ashdown. Great service.

Ashdown's customer service is amazing. I emailed them once with a problem and had an answer from the MD within 20 minutes. Most companies seem to bin emails nowadays. Or charge you premium rate to call them. Keep it up, Ashdown. People notice!
