rainbowreality
Hi all! I have an amp that is great but what would make it better would be a mute switch. I'm assuming it's a case of wiring a switch from the input Jack if I only want to mute the input or I'm thinking I could put a switch before the speaker output? I want to avoid the speaker popping when switching so would something along the lines of a millennium switch type wiring help avoid this? Any advice much appreciated! Mr. Foxen
What amp is it? Don't put a switch on teh output, too much risk of killing it. Master volume control is probably a better place, avoiding a switch pop is going to be the biggest deal.
rainbowreality
It's an Aria AB30 and solid state. At the moment I'm putting a Jack in the headphone socket which acts as a mute on the speaker.
