topo morto Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 How do you clever people know these things? Quote
gjones Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) Yes pickups seem the same size (as did Mex Jazzes before 2000) and it has access to the trussrod at the headstock not the body like a USA one. The California series (which were made around 1997) did have access to the trussrod via the headstock but they had 'California Series' written on the headstock (this one doesn't). gjones Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) This is a California series bass http://www.ebay.co.u...=p2047675.l2557 made in USA and Mexico. Serial numbers all started AMX. The writing at the top of the headstock I think says 'American Traditional'. I've heard of them but don't know much about them. Edit : here we go http://www.sputnikmu...ad.php?t=553918 looks like it's an early equivalent of a Highway 1. smaz Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 From the first picture it looks like it has the cut out at the bottom of the neck for access to the truss rod from that side. Possibly originally USA, but had a neck replacement? Quote
