Here is my recently-acquired MarkBass 802 combo (specs here http://www.markbass....tail.php?id=241) and the highly-praised new Headway EDB-2 preamp (http://www.bassdirec...PA_Headway.html). The whole rig weighs about 25 pounds, is ultra-portable due to the shape/weight and sounds excellent with both double bass (in fact a simple fdeck preamp https://sites.google...lc/home/hpf-pre into the MarkBass 802 sounds great with my Full Circle-equipped DB) and with my Ampeg Baby Bass (which needs more careful EQ'ing). Not gigged it yet but early impressions are very good indeed. First real test this week

looks great Clarky, I went down the same route with portabilty (altho' without having anywhere nears as impressive a rig as yours). I'm using an FDeck pre tho' - works great and I've used it to record straight into an audio interfacwe with excellent results too

I really like the MarkBass amps and they do seem to work really well for upright. I did a big band residency in a club that used a 12 markbass combo and it was really consistent. I LOVED not having to carry my own amp :-) I think the flexibility of the Headway will really help handle real world gig challenges and strange acoustics.

Hey Nick, I've got the bigger brother of this amp, the MarkBass Mini CMD 121P combo and extension cab, for my Jazz bass

I also have an Acoustic Image Ten2 combo which I would probably sell but for the fact my band's guitarist uses it for all our gigs
