Bassist for Gregory porter on jools?

Who was the glorious upright player with Gregory Porter on Jools this week?

Talk about a tone to die for.

I'm seeing more and db players all the time, were there more db players than elec players on the show last night? I don't know who he was either but I too liked it

I wonder was this guy a dep. He doesn't look much lie the pics of Aaron James at all.

@Pete, not only more uprights (it seemed) but Goldfrapp had two if you count the string section.

I only caught a short clip of the show but the bass man didn't like Aaron James to me. Rest of the band were all the same guys I saw with Gregory this summer.

I'm seeing more DB "players" but a lot of them seem to be playing like they would on their electric, one finger per "fret" and a horizontal pluck just below the neck join using an electric style pluck and relying on the amp to boost the signal.

Now I have no metal in there I think I'm getting less trouble from the seasonal changes but the under lying problem doesn't feel any different
