One year later, at the same gig:

And here's a funny thing:

If you do a Google Image search for "KK Babybass", this is the photo that comes up.

And no, that's not a KK Babybass I'm playing, it's a 1960's Ampeg ...

I wonder if I got the caption of the photo completely wrong when I uploaded it to Flickr or, more likely, Google search took the title of the Basschat thread and used it as the name of the image. Either way, you're No 2 in the thumbnail list on the normal search page, and still No 1 in the full image search results :D

Bwahahahaha!!!

I wondered how many people would spot Tim's shirt. ;)

Playing with Ralph is an experience and an education. There is no comfort zone. You need to be ready for anything, any time.

The open air festival season is back, and so is King Ralph. :)
Some shots from last Sunday at Kew Market:

Keith doesn't always play the two-sticks:

The Queen doesn't look too happy about it - as usual.

A marathon afternoon and evening on Saturday 16th August - King Ralph in Hanwell first (below), then the Junkyard Dogs in Slough.

I didn't because, y'know, the other act isn't King Ralph and this is a King Ralph thread!

Aaanyway... the other act were the W7 Ukuleles and there must have been at least 30 of them on stage at some point.

To get back to King Ralph, the band (with Paul of the Junkyard Dogs depping on percussion) had a last-minute gig at The Tap On The Line at Kew Gardens station last night, which went down really well with the crowd :)

These pics were taken pre-mad dancing (the mad dancing is on video).
