Wondering when I joined Bassworld... Ahh found it. 25th March 2007. Then on 19th April came the basstalk.co.uk change. I don't think it was long before that also changes to become Basschat.

I though that forums shifting and changing names was perfectly normal...

It's great looking back and seeing the way it's changed. Also the amount of gear thats changed hands! I've loved being part of both BW and BC, but it has caused my bank balance to take a hit once in a while :-)

What I find extraordinary about that link is how FEW of those people are still with us, or at least posting here.

I remember most of those login names, but I think only one, maybe two (apart from Ped and Kiwi) have been seen recently ... by me anyway.

Haha... Don't get me started.

Personally I find it amazing that there are so many I recognise and how many members have been on the site(s) since the beginning.

I like to think quality over quantity. :)

Wow!

I was just searching for something else and I found this post! Time to reminisce ... remember, the 'good ole days'?....

I've just been having a look through the archives and it appears I was registered user number 7! Wow! That was a long time ago!

Funny you should reply actually, as I spotted you a moment ago on a 2007 page!

So what was past flavour of the months on bassworld?
Headless basses and Trace Elliot's?, heavyweight cabs were the best and class d definitely didn't have heft or was it called Beef back then? Hahaha ;)

I was there towards the end of BW, then came all the angst about who owned the site and the data.

Then BC.

We all lived at a slower pace back then. I went on holiday for 2 weeks and when I came back there were 15 pages of posts to plough through. We get that in a day now!

Am I remembering correctly that there was a BT in between BW and BC?
[/quote]

There was an interim forum. I was literally sat at my computer waiting for the changeover to BC having been a long term BW member and much more active on that forum. Hence my low number on here.

There definitely isn't that much activity I find this site fairly sedate.
