SpaceChick Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Went to see Bruno Mars at the O2 yesterday. Amazing gig! However, what really got me was how the whole band danced all night and everyone was involved in dance routines. How Jamareo Artis managed to play bass and dance amazed me! He was awesome. anyone else see them? Quote
crez5150 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I love this Band..... really different from the rest and know how to put on a proper show!! Quote
tonyf Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I've a LOT of time for Bruno and his band. As Crez says, an awesome entertainer with musicians at the top of their game. Quote
bagsieblue Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 ahh - Mrs Bagsieblue was going on about going to one of the Bruno Mars concerts. Being too cool for school , I said I didn't fancy it. If anyone has a couple of spare tickets for the Liverpool gig on 24th Nov then colour me interested. Quote

I wrote him off as a typical "cheesemonger" at first, but he's really grown on me with time (Mrs Skol is a fan...). Doesn't take himself too seriously and is a good performer. Quote
CamdenRob Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I have absolutely no idea who he is ... Quote

gapiro Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Yeah, saw him last year in nottingham. Full of energy and swayed me over to his music. Off again on friday to brum with the missus to see him again. Fantastic entertainer and probably one of the most talented in the charts / pop at the moment Quote

Highfox Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Don't think they get them that good on x factor, do they? Think MJ and Prince crossed and you'll get close. Quote

paul h Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 James Arthur's new single is pretty darn good. But yes...I'm another Bruno Mars admirer. Give me matching suits, dance routines and good music and I'm sold! Quote
iamtheelvy Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Not really into his music at all (Mrstheelvy more so), but caught a piece of his show from *insert festival here*, and can vouch for his showmanship, and that of his band. Really, very good and professional guys. Quote

stingrayPete1977 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 My only gripe is the lack of 5 string live, I dont get why he has ERB on the album but not live, the bassist is great and I would have him record his live parts as the album parts on 4 string bass or use a bass player that plays the album versions live too, I know I am grumpy and it is a silly gripe but thats my lookout Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Listen how low the bass is on the album version compared to that live clip above http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiQFvA2o3j0 Quote
RandomBass Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I think he is very clever. Like a talented version of Robbie Williams. Quote
JakeBrownBass Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I love him & his newest album. It's a shame that 'Treasure' is an absolute rip off of Breakbot's 'Baby I'm Yours'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6okxuiiHx2w Quote
funkypenguin Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Haven't seen them live, but they are awesome Am quite exited that i'm playing a few of his tunes on this cruise contract! Quote

pietruszka Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I have a lot of respect for Mars, his band from what I've seen on the tv are outstanding! I had more respect when I scanned through the sleeve notes of Cee-lo Green's album and saw that, Bruno Mars co wrote and played all instruments on forget you. As well as several other tracks. Talented man. Did any one ring him and tell him sting wanted his track back? Dan Quote
