casapete
BBC1 are showing the Stones at Hyde Park 2013 tonight (Saturday Oct 12th) at 22.35. After the limited Glastonbury footage should be interesting...............
Oopsdabassist
After that dodgy Glasto set they need a good showing, they looked & sounded like my bands 1st rehearsal then! Will watch with interest.
Lozz196
In absence of Match of The Day I think I will be watching this - and looking forward to it too.
Jazzneck
Looking forward to this - or is it backwards to 1969 when I was there with Mrs. Jazzneck on our second "date"?

Jazzneck
Enjoyed that, but I prefer Bills bass playing.
Lozz196
I wasn`t overkeen on it all. I prefer the original way they played the songs rather than the newer arrangements. Edited October 13, 2013 by Lozz196
Buzzy
Just watched it, great playing by Darryl Jones but he seemed to use at least 4 different basses ( Lakland DJ, Precision,Music Man and something that looked like a Burns) but I couldn't hear any difference between them. Donnyboy
I think the Burns alike was a Mustang?

[/quote] What a nightmare for all the 'tone heads' out there - how will they ever find the right bass with the right tone? (perhaps it really is all in the fingers? )
skychaserhigh
I thought it was great. I liked the arrangements too , imagine how boring it must be to play those old songs exactly the same way after all those years ?Gimme Shelter was stunning.
